Volleyball Recap: Windsor Falls Despite Big Games from Aubrie Heany and Julia Ashby

Windsor was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Concordia Fighting Orioles. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Greyhounds of the 3-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Windsor took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 25-13, 23-25, 18-25, 26-24, 15-9.

Despite the defeat, Windsor had strong showings from Julia Ashby, who had ten digs and five aces, and Aubrie Heany, who had 15 digs.

Windsor's loss dropped their record down to 9-13-1. As for Concordia, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-9-3.

Windsor has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Northwest on the 14th. As for Concordia, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Prairie Home on the 14th.
