Soccer Recap: Marbury Takes a Loss

If Marbury was riding high fresh off their 5-1 takedown of Booker T. Washington Magnet last Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Marbury Bulldogs came up short against the Tallassee Tigers on Tuesday, falling 5-2. Surprisingly, this marked the fourth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Marbury's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3-3. As for Tallassee, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-3-2.

Coming up, Marbury will be taking part in a tournament against Wetumpka at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Tallassee, they will challenge Montgomery Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Montgomery Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3 goals per game this season.
