Soccer Recap: Westlake Falls Short of Corner Canyon in the Playoffs

Westlake and Corner Canyon squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but Westlake had to settle for second. They came up short against the Chargers, falling 4-1. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Westlake couldn't quite close it out.

Their goal came courtesy of Ty Christensen, who's now up to eight this season.

Westlake has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost 11 of their last 12 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season. As for Corner Canyon, their win bumped their record up to 7-10.

Westlake does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corner Canyon, they will take on Lone Peak at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lone Peak will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something Corner Canyon surely won't give up without a fight.
