Volleyball Game Preview: Pendleton Bulldogs vs. Crescent Tigers

The Pendleton Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Crescent Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pendleton will be strutting in after a win while Crescent will be coming in after a loss.

Pendleton took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Belton-Honea Path.

Pendleton had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 25-22, 25-18.

Meanwhile, Crescent came up short against Chesnee on Thursday and fell 3-1.

Crescent was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Chesnee work for it, especially in the fourth set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 21-25, 27-25.

Pendleton's win bumped their record up to 4-12. As for Crescent, they now have a losing record of 10-11.

Pendleton took their victory against Crescent in their previous matchup back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bulldogs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
