Basketball Game Preview: Elma Eagles vs. Seattle Christian Warriors

The Elma Eagles will take on the Seattle Christian Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. Elma is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 54.1 points per game this season.

On Thursday, Elma ended up a good deal behind Tenino and lost 60-45. The defeat continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Beavers: they've now lost five in a row.

Despite the loss, Elma got top-tier performance from Isaac McGaffey, who almost dropped a double-double on 24 points and nine rebounds. Those 24 points gave McGaffey a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Matthew Wood, who posted four points.

Meanwhile, Seattle Christian came up short against Cascade Christian on Thursday and fell 51-38. The match marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Elma's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Seattle Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 8-7.

Elma couldn't quite finish off Seattle Christian in their previous meeting back in December of 2019 and fell 76-73. Can Elma avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
