Berwick Academy came out on top against Bancroft on Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. Berwick Academy put the hurt on Bancroft with a sharp 13-1 victory. That 12 run margin sets a new team best for Berwick Academy this season.

Curt Savage made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. Savage was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Berwick Academy got a big performance out of Cam Clark, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Tucker Montecalvo, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.

Berwick Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Bancroft, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Berwick Academy will welcome Portsmouth Christian Academy at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Bancroft, they will be playing at home against Concord Academy at 3:15 p.m. on Friday.
