Softball Recap: Carteret Comes Up Short

Edison hit Carteret with a 11-run fifth inning on Tuesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Ramblers lost 13-3 to the Eagles. The Ramblers haven't had much luck with the Eagles recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

Trinity Bernadino was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. She has been hot, having also posted at least one stolen base the last six times she's played. Miyah Knight also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Carteret's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Edison, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-1.

Coming up, Carteret will welcome Perth Amboy at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday. As for Edison, they will head out to square off against Piscataway at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Eagles are facing the Chiefs at the right time seeing as the Chiefs are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
