Football Recap: Mendota Aztecs vs. Tranquillity Tigers        
        
		
             Mendota had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 31.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They took down the Tranquillity Tigers 28-14. The Aztecs have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Tigers, too.
 Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Mendota to victory, but perhaps none more so than   Hawk Garcia, who rushed for 137 yards and a touchdown on only ten carries. Those 137  rushing yards gave  Garcia a new career-high. Another pass catcher making a difference was  Julian Silva, who picked up 86 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Mendota was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 256  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
 Mendota's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 5-1. As for Tranquillity, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.
 Mendota will square off against Dos Palos at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday. Dos Palos is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 33.6  points per game  this season. As for Tranquillity, they will challenge Firebaugh at 7:30  p.m.  on Friday.
