Softball Recap: Toms River North Comes Up Short

Toms River North was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They lost 19-4 to the Howell Rebels. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rebels this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 15-1 last Thursday.

Toms River North saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Stef B, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Gabby Misner also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Toms River North's loss dropped their record down to 1-11. As for Howell, they pushed their record up to 4-2 with the victory, which was their third straight at home.

Looking ahead, Toms River North will take on Wall Township at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Howell, they will host Pinelands Regional at 3:45 p.m. on Saturday.
