Basketball Recap: Stratford Takes a Loss

Stratford lost against Gruver back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Stratford Elks were dealt a 74-38 loss at the hands of the Gruver Greyhounds. The Elks just can't catch a break and have now endured three defeats in a row.

Stratford's loss dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Gruver, their victory was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-0.

Stratford will welcome West Texas at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. West Texas will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Stratford surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gruver, they will venture away from home to challenge Vega at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Gruver is facing Vega at the right time seeing as Vega is stuck on a six-game losing streak.
