Volleyball Recap: Scottsbluff's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Scottsbluff came tearing into Thursday's matchup with four straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Chadron Cardinals with a sharp 3-0 win. The Bearcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Cardinals, too.

The victory didn't come easy: Chadron scored at least 19 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-22, 25-19.

Scottsbluff's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alainah Salas, who had 28 digs and two assists. Those 28 digs gave Salas a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lillian Hays, who had 36 assists and ten digs.

Scottsbluff's record now sits at 12-9. As for Chadron, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-8 record this season.

Scottsbluff wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Thunder Basin on the 26th. As for Chadron, they will square off against Gordon-Rushville at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
