Soccer Game Preview: Scotus vs. Conestoga

The Scotus Shamrocks will square off against the Conestoga Cougars at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Scotus' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

While the 1-1 score might suggest a draw, it was Lincoln Lutheran/Raymond Central/Parkview Christian who was credited with the victory on Tuesday. Lincoln Lutheran/Raymond Central/Parkview Christian got it done in the shootout by posting five goals to Scotus' four.

Scotus will be up against a hot Conestoga squad: the team just extended their winning streak to four. The Cougars came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against Fremont.

Brandt Morrical and Noah Eagen scored both of Conestoga's goals, bringing their combined season tally to four goals.

Conestoga's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 11 goals over those three matches. As for Scotus, they now have a losing record of 3-4.
