Volleyball Recap: High Tech Mesa Takes a Loss

After flying high against Kearny last Tuesday, High Tech Mesa came back down to earth. High Tech Mesa fell just short of the Helix Highlanders by a score of 3-2 on Thursday.

High Tech Mesa wouldn't go down easily and took Helix into a fifth set but they suffered a heartbreaking three-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-17, 25-19, 23-25, 15-12.

High Tech Mesa has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. Helix pushed their record up to 11-9 with the victory, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. High Tech Mesa will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on O'Farrell Charter at 5:00 p.m. on April 8. As for Helix, they will square off against El Cajon Valley at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
