Basketball Game Preview: Aberdeen Tigers vs. Soda Springs Cardinals

Aberdeen hasn't had much luck against Soda Springs recently, but that could start to change on Wednesday. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Aberdeen Tigers face off against the Soda Springs Cardinals at 7:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Aberdeen is headed into Wednesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their fifth straight game on Saturday. The contest between them and Raft River didn't end well, with Aberdeen falling 65-46. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Idaho basketball rankings (they are ranked 114th, while the Trojans are ranked 27th).

Meanwhile, Soda Springs was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 66-28 defeat at the hands of Bear Lake.

Aberdeen's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Soda Springs, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Aberdeen suffered a grim 50-26 defeat to Soda Springs in their previous meeting back in January of 2024. Can Aberdeen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
