Volleyball Recap: St. Joseph Central Catholic Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins at Home

If St. Joseph Central Catholic was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Toledo Christian on Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Crimson Streaks lost 3-0 to the Lakota Raiders on Tuesday. Crimson Streaks fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Raiders since Tuesday.

The final score came out to 25-18, 25-11, 25-20.

Kamille Kayden paced St. Joseph Central Catholic's offense, picking up eight kills. Kayden got some help from Amaree Haralson and her 13 assists. Sophia Klos controlled things from the service line, finishing with five aces.

St. Joseph Central Catholic's loss ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 8-2. As for Lakota, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 3-5.

St. Joseph Central Catholic has already played their next game, a 3-0 win against Gibsonburg on the 11th. As for Lakota, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Calvert on the 11th.
