Shiprock has gone 9-1 against Navajo Prep recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. Shiprock will be playing at home against Navajo Prep at 3:00 p.m. Shiprock will be strutting in after a victory while Navajo Prep will be coming in after a loss.
Shiprock barely beat Zuni the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Shiprock was the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over Zuni on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Chieftains, who have now won five matches by six runs or more so far this season.

The team relied heavily on Khalil Nakai, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Shiprock is 4-1 when Nakai posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise. Antonio James was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-3.
Shiprock was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .381. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Navajo Prep came up short against Hozho Academy on Tuesday and fell 13-9.
Jashyro Bileen made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole two bases while going 4-for-4. He has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Khol Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Shiprock now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Navajo Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-9.
Friday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Shiprock has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .527. However, it's not like Navajo Prep struggles in that department as they've averaged .532. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
