Baseball Recap: White Oak Snags Tenth Win in Last 11 Games

White Oak got themselves on the board against West Rusk on Tuesday, but West Rusk never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Raiders. Considering the Roughnecks have won six games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Not much got past Collin Wheat, who gave up just a hit and racked up ten Ks to keep West Rusk off the board. Wheat has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in five consecutive appearances.

At the plate, White Oak saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nico Soto, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-2. Jaxsen Ludlow was another, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.

White Oak has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-3-1 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.2 runs over those games. As for West Rusk, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-11-1.

White Oak will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Raiders: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
