Norfolk Academy had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt Cape Henry Collegiate on Monday. The Bulldogs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Dolphins. The victory was familiar territory for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matches in a row.

Norfolk Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the third set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-21, 25-14.

Sydney Petersen paced Norfolk Academy's offense, picking up eight kills. Petersen got some help from Allie Wight and her 17 assists. Petersen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Norfolk Academy's victory bumped their record up to 15-1. As for Cape Henry Collegiate, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.
