Softball Recap: Lewis County Extends Winning Streak to Three

Lewis County proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by ten) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They skirted past the Philip Barbour Colts 5-4. That's more bragging rights for the Minutemen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lewis County saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brooklyn Oldaker, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

The victory was the third in a row for Lewis County, bringing their record up to 3-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 7.3 runs this season. As for Philip Barbour, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-2.

Looking ahead, Lewis County will venture away from home to face off against Pendleton County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Philip Barbour, they will host Moorefield at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
