Football Recap: Riverside Piles Up the Points Against Englewood

While Riverside put up plenty of points on Friday, the same can't be said for Englewood. The Generals breezed past the Rams to the tune of 67-0. Considering the Generals' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Riverside to victory, but perhaps none more so than Demetrice Hugger, who picked up 100 receiving yards and three scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Mitch Gaskins, who threw for 100 yards and three touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes.

Riverside's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB three times. Marvin Butler was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two sacks himself.

Riverside's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-6. As for Englewood, they are on a seven-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-7.

Riverside wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 45-14 defeat against Bolles on the 16th. As for Englewood, they have also already played their next matchup, a 56-0 loss against Andrew Jackson on the 17th.
