Soccer Recap: Sierra Canyon Takes a Loss

Sierra Canyon was the 1-0 winner over St. Francis when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Sierra Canyon Trailblazers came up short against the St. Francis Golden Knights on Friday, falling 7-0. While losing is never fun, the Trailblazers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 388th, while the Golden Knights are ranked 169th).

Sierra Canyon's defeat dropped their record down to 5-5-2. As for St. Francis, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-2-3.

Sierra Canyon has already played their next matchup (against Notre Dame (SO)), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. St. Francis will be playing in front of their home fans against Loyola at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
