Baseball Game Preview: Piqua Indians vs. Shawnee Indians

Piqua will head out on the road to square off against Shawnee at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Piqua's hitters haven't had much luck over their past four matches, but Monday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Piqua's last matchup with Troy could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's contest on Friday. The Indians lost 12-0 to the Trojans.

Meanwhile, Shawnee came up short against St. Henry on Friday and fell 7-2.

Piqua's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for Shawnee, their loss was their 13th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 4-16.

Piqua couldn't quite finish off Shawnee in their previous meeting back in May of 2021 and fell 2-0. Can Piqua avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
