Soccer Recap: Winfield Comes Up Short

After flying high against Elsberry on Saturday, Winfield came back down to earth. Winfield came up short against Warrenton on Monday, falling 7-1. Winfield hasn't had much luck with Warrenton recently, as the team has come up short the last five times they've met.

Winfield's goal came courtesy of Nicholas Gebert, who's now up to eight this season.

Winfield's defeat dropped their record down to 6-8. As for Warrenton, their win bumped their record up to 7-0.

Looking ahead, Winfield will be playing at home against North County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Warrenton, they will venture away from home to face off against Elsberry at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
