Basketball Recap: Glenn Comes Up Short

After flying high against Birch Run last Tuesday, Glenn came back down to earth. The contest between the Glenn Bobcats and the Hemlock Huskies didn't end well, with the Glenn Bobcats falling 41-23. While losing is never fun, the Bobcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while the Huskies are ranked 85th).

Victoria Hauffe continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hemlock, shooting 45% from the field on her way to 18 points and four steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which Hauffe has scored at least a third of Hemlock's points. Carly Siler was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Glenn's loss dropped their record down to 10-12. As for Hemlock, they are on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 16 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-3 record this season.

As of now, neither Glenn nor Hemlock have any future games scheduled.
