Ortiz came up big in Canfield's 5-1 victory
Caylee Ortiz was dynamite on Monday, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was her fourth in a row with more than five innings. For the season, Ortiz has an ERA of 3.50 over 24 innings pitched.
Ortiz's strong effort led Canfield over Harding and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
