Western Branch waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They strolled past the Deep Run Wildcats with points to spare, taking the game 66-52.

Western Branch's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Camryn Clark, who posted 18 points. Another player making a difference was Brandon Rodgers, who scored 13 points.

Western Branch pushed their record up to 8-8 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Deep Run, their loss dropped their record down to 7-11.

Western Branch and Grassfield will meet on Friday for a tough Bear Battle. Western Branch knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight games -- so hopefully Grassfield likes a good challenge. As for Deep Run, they will host Godwin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Deep Run has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
