Volleyball Recap: Kellis Comes Up Short

Kellis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 3-0 to the Canyon View Jaguars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on April 7th.

The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-15, 25-11.

Maurice Williams paced Kellis' offense, picking up nine kills. Williams were helped by Kenny Hoang and Trevor Pippin, who contributed five assists each. Finally, Jordan Press kept Kellis' defense grounded, leading the team with six blocks.

Kellis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-13. As for Canyon View, the victory got them back to even at 17-17.

Kellis didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Ironwood on the 27th. As for Canyon View, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-1 win against Willow Canyon on the 28th.
