Football Game Preview: Evanston Devils vs. Jackson Hole Broncs + How To Watch

The Evanston Devils will challenge the Jackson Hole Broncs at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Evanston is coming into the contest on a five-game losing streak.

Evanston is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Wyoming's top teams: Cody, who was ranked third at the time (Evanston was ranked 24th). The Devils lost 35-13 to the Broncs on Friday. The Devils were down 35-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Despite the loss, Evanston had strong showings from Jackson Williams, who rushed for 68 yards and one TD, and Ryker Liechty, who rushed for 47 yards and one touchdown.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Jackson Hole, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They snuck past Green River with a 36-32 win on Friday. The victory continues a trend for the Broncs in their matchups with the Wolves: they've now won three in a row.

Jackson Hole had a senior duo take command as Grant Johnson threw for 355 yards and four TDs while completing 78.1% of his passes and Tyson Kendall picked up 187 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Another player making a difference was Thomas King, who picked up 37 receiving yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Jackson Hole's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Evanston, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Evanston was able to grind out a solid victory over Jackson Hole in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 20-7. Will the Devils repeat their success, or do the Broncs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
