Soccer Recap: Laguna Creek Comes Up Short

Laguna Creek lost against Monterey Trail back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Laguna Creek Cardinals lost 5-0 to the Monterey Trail Mustangs. While losing is never fun, the Cardinals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 680th, while the Mustangs are ranked 143rd).

Laguna Creek's loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Monterey Trail, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Laguna Creek will welcome Sheldon at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Monterey Trail, they will host Pleasant Grove at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Pleasant Grove is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.5 goals per game this season.
