Recap: Bremond Tigers vs. Sabinal Yellowjackets

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Bremond Tigers walked away with it. They blew past the Yellowjackets 55-13 on the road. 55 seems to be a good number for Bremond as the squad scooped up a win with the same number of points in their previous game.

Koben Zan continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 218 yards and five touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 127 yards and two touchdowns while completing 83.3% of his passes. Tristan Morehead also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.

When it comes to explaining why Sabinal lost on Friday, one person who can't be blamed is Israel Gonzales. Despite the final result, he rushed for 117 yards, and also caught a touchdown.

The win was the sixth in a row for Bremond, bringing their record for this year to 9-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.7 points per game. As for Sabinal, they now have a losing record at 5-6.

Bremond will be playing at home against Falls City at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Falls City is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. Sabinal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
