Verrado had won four straight games and Zachary Doerksen did his part to make it five on Friday. The Vipers walked away with a 2-0 win over the Buena Colts with plenty of help from Doerksen, who had 12 assists and five aces. He is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 12 or more in each of the last six games he's played.

Verrado's victory bumped their record up to 15-4. As for Buena, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-5 record this season.

Coincidentally, Verrado and Buena will both be playing Flowing Wells the next time they take the court. The Vipers will head out to face the Caballeros at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, while the Colts will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
