Basketball Recap: Leadore Gets the Win

If Non Varsity Opponent wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Leadore, they should've done a better job of containing Dane Piippo. The Leadore Mustangs came out on top against Non Varsity Opponent by a score of 52-45 on Thursday thanks in part to Piippo, who shot 4-for-5 from beyond the arc and dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 15.6 points per game.

Another player making a difference was Jared Ramsey, who posted six points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in assists (four).

The victory got Leadore back to even at 3-3.

Leadore will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Mackay at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 56-13 victory against Washington School for the Deaf on the 19th.
