Softball Recap: Colfax Takes a Loss

Colfax was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 14-3 to the Lincoln Fighting Zebras. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Falcons of the 5-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2018.

Colfax saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lilly Stofleth, who scored a run and stole Two bases. while going 1-for-3. Another was Savannah Hostler, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Colfax's loss dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Lincoln, their victory ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-8.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Colfax will welcome Marysville at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Colfax is facing Marysville at the right time seeing as Marysville is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Lincoln, they will face off against Loyalton at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
