Basketball Game Preview: South Charlotte Thunder vs. Charlotte Christian Knights

The South Charlotte Thunder will venture away from home to face off against the Charlotte Christian Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Charlotte is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50.2 points per game this season.

South Charlotte is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They came out on top against Forsyth Home Educators by a score of 68-57 on Friday.

Kristoffer Lang had a dynamite game for South Charlotte, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 15 rebounds. Lang is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Mason Kern, who posted 14 points in addition to five blocks and three steals.

Meanwhile, Charlotte Christian was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Forsyth Country Day 77-46. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Furies are ranked 17th).

Charlotte Christian's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for South Charlotte, their victory bumped their record up to 2-8.
