Softball Game Preview: Lodi Blue Devils vs. Lakeside Lutheran Warriors

Lodi hasn't had much luck against Lakeside Lutheran recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field against the Warriors at 5:00 p.m. Lodi will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.

On Monday, Lodi got the win against Sauk Prairie by a conclusive 16-6.

Meanwhile, Lakeside Lutheran came into Friday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-2 win over Lake Mills on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Warriors have posted against the L-Cats since April 9, 2019.

Lodi's win was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-0. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Lakeside Lutheran, their win bumped their record up to 2-5.

Lodi couldn't quite get it done against Lakeside Lutheran when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 6-2. Can the Blue Devils avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
