Football Recap: Millsap Falls to Hamilton in First Game of Season + How To Watch

Millsap unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They were dealt a 35-6 defeat at the hands of Hamilton on Friday. Millsap was not able to make up for their loss to Hamilton from their previous meeting back in August of 2024.

Millsap's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Braun Johnson, who rushed for 151 yards, and Adrien Porter, who rushed for 53 yards and one TD. Johnson also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, picking up a sack, forcing one fumble, and making four total tackles.

Millsap didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Cash Webb, Carter Webb, and Caden Martinez picked up one apiece.

Coming up, Millsap is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Dublin at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hamilton, they will welcome Early at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
