Summers County and Mount View are an even 3-3 against one another since November of 2015, but not for long. The Bobcats will take on the Golden Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.

It was a proper cat-fight when Summers County challenged East Hardy on Friday. The Bobcats were outmatched by the Cougars and fell 66-20. On the bright side, the 20- point performance marked the Bobcats' highest-scoring game to date.

Despite the defeat, Summers County got top-tier performance from Braxton Lambert, who picked up 107 receiving yards and one TD, and also rushed for 126 yards.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Mount View's offense. They lost 20-0 to Wyoming East on Friday.

Summers County's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Mount View, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 0-5.

Everything came up roses for Summers County against Mount View when the teams last played back in September of 2022, as the team secured a 52-20 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was the Golden Knights' Jaylen Hall, who picked up 87 receiving yards and one score, and also rushed for 55 yards. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be easier for the Bobcats to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
