Basketball Recap: Labelle Wins Going Away Against North Port

LaBelle won the last time they faced North Port and things went their way on Friday too. The LaBelle Cowboys/Cowgirls took down the North Port Bobcats 63-48. The match marked the Cowboys/Cowgirls' most dominant win of the season so far.

LaBelle's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Giovanni Beaver, who went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points and five steals. The dominant performance gave Beaver a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Arrie Davis Jr., who went 8 of 15 on his way to 18 points.

LaBelle was working as a unit and finished the game with 14 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

LaBelle has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.8 points per game. As for North Port, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-7.

Venice is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 53.1 points per game this season.
