It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Maynard ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Clinton Gaels, sneaking past 2-1. That's more bragging rights for the Tigers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.
Jillian Macfarlane spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits and racked up 14 Ks. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.
