Baseball Recap: Stevenson Snags Eighth Win in Last Ten Games

Stevenson was not the first on the board on Saturday, but they got there more often. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Saline Hornets, sneaking past 6-5.

Stevenson let Cameron McPherson and Tasso Kotsogiannis run wild. McPherson got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one run, while Kotsogiannis went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Stevenson is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games. That's provided a massive bump to their 15-16-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.5 runs over those games. As for Saline, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 17-7-1 record this season.

Saline will take on Edison Academy at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. Stevenson will be paying especially close attention to the Hornets' contest: after the Hornets face off against the Pioneers, they'll take on Stevenson again at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
