Softball Recap: Herndon Hornets vs. Washington-Liberty Generals

Herndon hadn't done well against Washington-Liberty recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Hornets walked away with a 12-7 win over the Generals. Considering the Hornets' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Emilia Korsvall was incredible, going 4-for-5 with three runs, two doubles, and one triple. That triple was her first of the season. The team also got some help courtesy of Avery Schopp, who went 2-for-5 with four RBI and two doubles.

Korsvall wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Herndon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
