Baseball Recap: East Hamilton Comes Up Short

East Hamilton fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against McCallie on Thursday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell 7-4 to the McCallie Blue Tornado. The Hurricanes have struggled against the Blue Tornado recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meetings.

East Hamilton saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Grayson Maddox, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base. That's the most hits Maddox has posted over his last nine matchups.

East Hamilton's loss dropped their record down to 8-5. As for McCallie, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Coincidentally, East Hamilton and McCallie will both be playing Cleveland the next time they take the field. East Hamilton will head out to face Cleveland at 5:00 p.m. on Friday, while McCallie will head out to face them at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
