Highlands is a perfect 9-0 against Beechwood since February of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Highlands Bluebirds will welcome the Beechwood Tigers at 7:45 p.m.

Highlands is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Kentucky's top teams: Simon Kenton, who was ranked fifth at the time (Highlands was ranked 22nd). Highlands took a 44-40 hit to the loss column at the hands of Simon Kenton.

Meanwhile, Beechwood waltzed into their matchup on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Greendevils by a score of 46-39.

Beechwood pushed their record up to 9-14 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points over those games. As for Highlands, their defeat dropped their record down to 18-8.

Everything came up roses for Highlands against Beechwood when the teams last played back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 54-24 win. Does Highlands have another victory up their sleeve, or will Beechwood turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
