Lafayette had won five straight home games and Brae'Ona Smith did her part to make it six on Thursday. The Lions put the hurt on the Westminster Christian Academy Chargers with a sharp 3-0 victory for which the team can thank Smith, who had 11 digs and four aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 11 or more in each of the last four games she's played.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Lafayette took every set by at least ten points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-15, 25-15.

Lafayette's win bumped their record up to 17-3. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lafayette will take on Southside at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they will welcome Crescent City Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
