Football Game Preview: Woodlawn vs. Augusta

Augusta have had a week off and are no doubt ready to get back on the field. On Friday they take on Woodlawn at 7:00 PM. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a win streak alive as Augusta skips in on three wins and Woodlawn on five.

Everything went Augusta's way against Arkansas Christian Academy two weeks ago as they made off with a 46-16 victory. Augusta were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.

Meanwhile, Woodlawn faced Hermitage in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Everything came up roses for Woodlawn against Hermitage last Friday as the team secured a 53-0 win. Followers of Woodlawn probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected four blowout victories.

Five weeks ago, Augusta were close but not close enough as they fell 36-38 to Woodlawn. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
