St. John the Baptist won the last time they faced Xaverian and things went their way on Friday too. The Cougars secured a 25-21 W over the Clippers. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Cougars.

Maurice Scott went supernova, rushing for 250 yards and a pair of scores while picking up 15.6 yards per carry. Those 250 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kalen Percer-Hogue, who rushed for 40 yards and two TDs.

St. John the Baptist now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Xaverian, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

St. John the Baptist wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next game, a 32-28 loss against Holy Cross on the 21st.
