Softball Recap: Norwood Starts Season with Victory Against Alton

Norwood took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Alton Comets a 15-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Pirates in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won three in a row.

This is the second loss in a row for Alton and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Norwood is packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will take on Willow Springs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Alton has already played their next contest (against Winona), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
