Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Columbus). They put the hurt on the Omaha Northwest Huskies with a sharp 15-1 win on Thursday. Winning may never get old, but the Discoverers sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Dayton Snyder looked comfortable as he tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. He is becoming a predictor of Columbus' success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 3-1 (and 10-14 when he doesn't).
At the plate, Quenton Gustafson was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI.
