Baseball Game Preview: Port St. Lucie Jaguars vs. South Fork Bulldogs

Port St. Lucie hasn't had much luck against South Fork recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. Port St. Lucie will venture away from home to square off against South Fork at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.

Port St. Lucie came into this matchup off a tough 13-run defeat last Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Centennial by a score of 3-1 last Friday. The Jaguars just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, South Fork's good fortune finally ran out on Saturday. They fell 6-3 to St. Albans.

South Fork saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Matt Dennis, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

South Fork's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Port St. Lucie, their loss dropped their record down to 1-10-1.

Port St. Lucie couldn't quite get it done against South Fork when the teams last played back in April of 2024 as they fell 7-2. Can Port St. Lucie avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
