Softball Game Preview: Trumbull Eagles vs. St. Joseph Cadets

The Trumbull Eagles will challenge the St. Joseph Cadets at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

St. Joseph will challenge a team with plenty of momentum: Trumbull extended their winning streak to four on Monday. Everything went the Eagles' way against Stamford as they made off with a 10-2 victory.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask St. Joseph). They blew past Westhill 19-1 on Monday. The Cadets haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

St. Joseph's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Trumbull, their win bumped their record up to 10-3.

Trumbull came out on top in a nail-biter against St. Joseph in their previous meeting back in May of 2025, sneaking past 3-1. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cadets have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
